Jensen Huang: “AI is the next-generation infrastructure… now is Korea’s time”

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang praised South Korea as an important hub for the nextgeneration artificial intelligence industry, and highly regarded Korea's manufacturing, semiconductor, and software capabilities. At a press briefing held on the 8th at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul, CEO Huang explained that AI is a new infrastructure following electricity and the internet. He said the building of AI infrastructure is still in its early stages, and that the industry can grow only when supported by energy and capital. He cited South Korea's strengths as having capabilities across nuclear power and energy, manufacturing, and AI research. He also mentioned cooperation with Korean companies such as SK hynix, SK Telecom, Naver, Samsung Electronics, LG, and Hyundai Motor, and said he would expand collaboration in the fields of AI cloud, semiconductors, robotics, and autonomous driving.
