Film and television works promote traditional cultural exchanges between young people across the Taiwan Strait

On July 3, a crossStrait youth exchange event was held at the iQIYI Youth Center in Beijing, where youth representatives from both sides of the Strait exchanged views on topics such as film and television production, cultural communication, and starting businesses on the mainland. During the event, works such as "Story of Yanxi Palace," "Jade", and "The Longest Day in Chang'an" became the focus of discussion. Participants believed that highquality film and television dramas not only enriched audiences' entertainment choices, but also made cultural content such as ancientstyle clothing, intangible cultural heritage elements, and traditional artifacts more easily recognized and accepted by young people. The guests also shared from personal experience that young people on both sides of the Strait have many commonalities in cultural aesthetics, entrepreneurial development, and lifestyles. The exchanges at the event also showed that film and television works are becoming an important vehicle for connecting young people across the Strait and spreading traditional Chinese culture.
