Mu Jun, former Party Committee member and deputy general manager of Chongqing Expressway Group, has been expelled from the Party and dismissed from public office

According to the Chongqing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, with approval from the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, the Chongqing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has filed an investigation into and conducted a case review of Mu Jun, former member of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of Chongqing Expressway Group, for serious violations of discipline and law. The notice said that Mu Jun had lost his ideals and beliefs, and had issues including resisting organizational review, illegally accepting gifts and cash, failing to report personal matters as required, and accepting travel arrangements that could affect the fair performance of official duties. He also obtained large returns through private lending. The notice also showed that Mu Jun used his position to seek利益 for others in areas such as engineering contracting and fund disbursement, and illegally accepted huge amounts of money and property. The Chongqing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision decided to expel him from the Party and dismiss him from public office, and to transfer the suspected criminal matters to the procuratorate for review and prosecution in accordance with the law.
