Comedian Lee Soogeun appeared on KBS1’s ‘Morning Yard’ and explained the creation process behind ‘High Note Impossible,’ one of his signature segments. He said that when he was a recreation instructor, he sang to liven up the atmosphere on stage, strained his voice, and that experience led to the segment.
Lee Soogeun also revealed that he met his wife, Park Jiyeon, after ‘High Note Impossible’ gained popularity. He recalled that he spent six months pursuing her and expressing his feelings, but was initially rejected, and that people around them also looked unfavorably on them because of the age difference between the two.
He also added that when he went to see his wife to apologize to her, he became overwhelmed with emotion and shed tears, and that sincerity eventually became the turning point that kept their relationship going.
