On September 11, Hainan’s Sanya held the launch ceremony for the first "Tourism Safe Destination and Tourism Police Cooperation" project. The project was initiated by China’s Ministry of Public Security, which invited Serbia’s Ministry of Interior to participate. The Serbian side sent 8 police officers to Hainan for a twoweek joint patrol. The joint patrol team will mainly carry out duties at tourist attractions in Sanya, Haikou, and other places, patrolling together with Chinese public security police officers in mixed formations, assisting in responding to the safety needs of Serbian citizens in China, and providing services to tourists such as consultations, assistance reception, and dispute mediation. Reports show that since 2019, China and Serbia have repeatedly sent police personnel to each other’s countries to conduct joint patrols. Hainan said that this cooperation will help improve the level of tourism safety governance and further strengthen law enforcement cooperation and experience exchange between the two countries.
