According to the latest data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, as of 17:00 on June 13, 288 million mu of summer grain wheat had been harvested nationwide, with the harvesting progress reaching 85%. At present, the weather in most wheatharvesting areas is generally favorable, though some places are experiencing brief showers. Local authorities are rushing to coordinate machinery to advance harvesting, while simultaneously making preparations for autumn grain planting.
In areas such as Wangdu, Hebei, to cope with heavy rainfall and strong convective weather, local authorities organized overnight emergency harvesting and used equipment such as lighting drones to ensure nighttime operations. Agricultural technicians also went to the fields to guide the setting of harvesting parameters, minimizing mechanical harvesting losses as much as possible and ensuring that ripe wheat is promptly brought into storage.
In Huaxian, Henan, local authorities are taking advantage of the summer sowing window to advance corn planting. Some fields are using Beidou navigationassisted driving and technologies such as drip irrigation and dense planting to improve sowing efficiency while saving water and fertilizer. Changle, Shandong, has entered the critical stage of summer grain procurement, with grain depots preparing storage capacity, funds, and equipment in advance, implementing inspection, weighing, and sampling before storage, and ensuring the quality of the new wheat through intelligent and green grain storage technologies.
