Recently, a claim circulating online that there was “severe gas leakage at a gas station in Burqin County, Xinjiang” has drawn attention. Following a selfinspection by Burqin County Jurong Petroleum Sales Co., Ltd. and an onsite verification by the relevant industry regulatory authorities, the station’s oil and gas transmission pipelines and supporting equipment were found to be operating normally, with no safety issues such as pipeline cracking, gas leakage, or seepage discovered.
The company stated that the related online claims have no factual basis and are false information. Relevant authorities remind the public that when encountering online information involving safety production, the authoritative verification results should prevail, and unverified claims should not be believed or spread.
