Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Holds a Special Symposium to Advance High-Level Opening Up

On June 11, the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference held a special consultative supervision symposium in Jinan on "Building a New High Ground for HighLevel Opening Up." CPPCC members, experts, and relevant persons offered suggestions through onsite participation or video link on topics such as institutional opening up, foreign trade innovation, twoway investment cooperation, and the construction of international logistics channels. At the meeting, heads of departments including the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Department of Transportation, Department of Commerce, and Council for the Promotion of International Trade listened to the speeches and exchanged views with the representatives attending the meeting. Participants discussed issues such as aligning with highstandard international economic and trade rules, institutional innovation in pilot free trade zones, the linkage of air freight with seaports and land ports, cooperation between Shandong and Hong Kong, and supply chain services. Ge Huijun, Chairwoman of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, said that Shandong should further enhance its level of openness, improve the quality and efficiency of foreign trade, optimize the open environment, and build consensus through coordinated efforts and talent development to ensure the implementation and effectiveness of various highlevel openingup measures. Wen Nuan, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, introduced the relevant work situation, and officials from the provincial CPPCC and the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision attended the meeting.
