The special counsel is examining whether Rep. Yoon exercised influence over the change of the residence site and the selection of construction companies as the head of the Blue House relocation task force in 2022. On this morning, Rep. Yoon appeared at the special counsel's office in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, as a suspect and was questioned.
The scope of the investigation also includes whether the site was changed after an advance inspection of the candidate residence site with First Lady Kim Keon Hee, and whether there was outside pressure or special treatment in the process by which the interior design firm 21gram was selected as the contractor.
