Chongqing's modern ecological agriculture is accelerating its upgrade, focusing on seed industry revitalization, brand building, and the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism Helping advance the construction of a strong agricultural city and a rural revitalization demonstration zone, seizing new opportunities to enhance industrial competitiveness

The Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference recently held a special consultation meeting on "working hard to build modern, ecofriendly, and efficient agriculture." Several members put forward suggestions on seed industry revitalization, brand building, talent development, and the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism, with the aim of helping Chongqing accelerate the construction of a strong agricultural city and a demonstration zone for rural revitalization through urbanrural integration. In terms of industrial development, the members suggested integrating core categories such as Three Gorges citrus and crunchy plums, and building a branding system that combines municipal public brands, regional特色 brands, and enterprise product brands. They also called for coordinated development across areas such as deep processing of food, brand operations, and ecommerce live streaming. Regarding the strengthening of basic capabilities, they suggested enhancing the conservation and utilization of germplasm resources, addressing shortcomings in the seed industries for rice, crunchy plums, and other crops, and increasing the coverage of independently bred varieties. At the same time, by establishing talent reserve records and attracting groups such as migrant workers returning from elsewhere, college graduates, and retired military personnel, the team of "new farmers" can be expanded. In addition, they proposed leveraging key agricultural parks to develop businesses such as farming study tours, intangible cultural heritage creative products, and pastoral health and wellness, thereby promoting the deep integration of agriculture with culture and tourism.
