Yinchuan Advances Precise Supervision of Medical Insurance to Optimize Newborn Enrollment and Medical Treatment Services
Yinchuan's precise supervision of medical insurance improves the efficiency of medical treatment and enrollment, and on-site hospital-based services are more worry-free Mutually recognized examination and test results, reduced upfront payment pressure, and people-benefiting policies are being implemented at an accelerated pace
On September 2, news from Yinchuan, Ningxia: locally, in response to bottlenecks and difficulties people encounter in seeking medical care and enrolling in medical insurance, efforts have been strengthened for precise medical insurance supervision, promoting simultaneous improvements in efficiency and quality of medical insurance services and healthcare services, so that beneficial policies for the public can be implemented more quickly.
Since the beginning of this year, Yinchuan has focused on issues such as the cumbersome medical insurance enrollment process for newborns, the public having to run from place to place for different matters, and the heavy pressure of upfront medical payments. It has set up inpatient service points for newborn medical insurance "onsite registration and handling" at the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University and Yinchuan Guolong Hospital, moving services such as enrollment registration, fee payment, information inquiries, and filing for treatment in another region into the hospitals for processing, reducing the burden of repeated trips for the public.
At the same time, in response to problems such as repeated examinations and excessive diagnosis and treatment, Yinchuan has promoted the implementation of a system for mutual recognition of examination and test results. Fifteen local medical institutions have been routinely providing mutual recognition services, serving more than 300,000 patient visits in total and saving over 3 million yuan in medical expenses. Yinchuan has also further plugged supervision loopholes and improved the efficiency of medical insurance fund use by improving mechanisms such as medical record review, fund payment, and internal control, while combining these efforts with warning education and notifications of typical cases.
