This transaction is interpreted as an extension of Doosan Group's trend of expanding its business into semiconductors and advanced materials, following energy and robotics. On the 31st, Doosan and SK each held board meetings and approved the signing of a stock purchase agreement for ㈜Doosan to acquire the 70.6% stake in SK Siltron held by SK. The size of the sale is approximately 2.3 trillion won, and SK Chairman Chey Taewon's personal stake of 29.4% was excluded from this transaction. Through this acquisition, Doosan will secure semiconductor wafer manufacturing capabilities.
