In a survey released by Realmeter on the 14th, President Lee Jaemyung's approval rating for state affairs came in at 33.8%, setting a new postinauguration low once again. Negative assessments rose to 63.3%, surpassing the 60% range for the first time, and the approval rating fell for nine consecutive weeks. This survey was conducted from the 7th to the 11th among 2,515 voters aged 18 and older nationwide. Realmeter explained that negative public opinion grew due to controversies over Cabinet appointments, consideration of deploying troops to the Strait of Hormuz, and uncertainty over real estate policy, and that the departure of progressive supporters and people in their 20s also affected the decline in approval ratings. In the party approval rating survey, the Democratic Party of Korea was recorded at 36.1% and the People Power Party at 42.1%, marking a reversal for the first time in a little over two months. In a previous Korea Gallup survey, the positive assessment of President Lee's performance of duties also stood at 38%, the lowest since taking office.
