The methanol dual-fuel container ship "Oriental Wisdom" has been delivered and set sail, showcasing a new breakthrough in green shipping One of the world's largest 24,000-TEU vessels, helping upgrade low-carbon transport and maritime support

On June 26, the world's first 24,000TEU methanol dualfuel container ship, the "Oriental Wisdom," was delivered and set sail in Nantong, Jiangsu, with relevant maritime regulatory safeguards in place at the same time. The vessel is 399.99 meters long overall and 61.3 meters wide, and can carry up to 24,168 standard containers. It is regarded as one of the world's largest methanol dualfuel container ships currently in service. According to the ship's technical staff, the vessel is equipped with a methanol dualfuel power system. When using green methanol, it can significantly reduce carbon emissions, reflecting the technical features of larger scale, lower carbon emissions, and smarter operation, and also demonstrating new progress in China's cleanenergy shipbuilding sector.
