Nepal mudslide assistance: China has launched three rounds of emergency humanitarian support A number of relief supplies and experts have all been put in place, and we will continue to follow up on subsequent reconstruction support
The China International Development Cooperation Agency said on the 29th that after the massive mudslide disaster in Nepal, China promptly initiated assistance upon receiving Nepal’s request and has carried out three rounds of emergency humanitarian support.
Through multiple military aircraft sorties, China transported more than 100 tons of disaster relief and daily necessities, including drones, rescue equipment, and genetic testing equipment, and also provided cash assistance. At the same time, it dispatched more than 20 experts in tunnel rescue and forensic identification to help with search and rescue and technical support. Relevant meteorological, hydrological, and geological information and data have also been continuously shared, and donations and supplies from local governments, enterprises, and civil society organizations have likewise been coordinated and advanced.
The spokesperson said that, as of now, all of this assistance has been fully implemented. China also stated that, if needed by Nepal in the future, it will continue to provide whatever help it can in areas such as postdisaster reconstruction and disasterreduction training, and promote the continued development of the traditional friendship between China and Nepal.
