AI Content Rewriting Pipeline Sparks Governance Concerns for Content Platforms

Recently, amid the phenomenon of AI bulkrewriting articles, passing them off as original, and cheating platforms out of subsidies, the media disclosed a related case, drawing public attention to governance of the content ecosystem. The report pointed out that some people use AI software to quickly rewrite popular articles, massproduce socalled “pseudooriginal” content, and then publish it through multiple accounts, in an attempt to bypass platform review mechanisms and obtain originalcontent subsidies. As some platforms gradually tighten their regulations on automated writing and posting, the gray chain of AI content laundering has also drawn more attention. The article argues that AI tools themselves are not the problem, but if they are used to plagiarize original work and create lowquality information, they may harm authors’ rights and interests and disrupt the order of online content. To curb such behavior, platform review, rule updates, and law enforcement crackdowns are all considered to need to be strengthened in tandem.
