On June 4, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at the regular press conference that China firmly supports Cuba in safeguarding national sovereignty and security, and opposes external interference.
Mao Ning pointed out that the United States has long imposed unilateral sanctions and a blockade on Cuba, which have seriously affected Cuba's economy and people's livelihoods and also caused significant harm to the Cuban people. The international community generally opposes this.
