Kunming, July 10 (Xinhua) — On July 9, a key special event of the 14th Yuntai Expo — the Yuntai Plateau Specialty Agriculture Industry Matchmaking Conference — was held at the Yunnan Shilin Taiwanfounded Entrepreneurship Park. Agricultural experts and business representatives from Yunnan and Taiwan held exchanges on topics such as modern seed industry, biotechnology, deep processing, and coldchain logistics.
Participants believed that Yunnan has a threedimensional climate and rich biological resources, while Taiwan has much experience in refined agriculture and the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism. The two sides have strong complementarity in the field of plateau特色 agriculture. The Yunnan side said that cooperation between the two sides could be further extended to processing, brand building, and coordination across the entire industrial chain.
The report noted that the total agricultural output value of the Shilin Taiwanfounded Entrepreneurship Park reached 2.01 billion yuan in 2025, doubling from 2021, and it has formed distinctive industrial clusters such as blueberries, flowers, and haematococcus pluvialis. After onsite inspections, some business representatives said that Yunnan's plant resources still have considerable room for development in highvalueadded product development, supply chain improvement, and market expansion, and that cooperation in related fields can be further deepened in the future.
