Passenger traffic at the Fuzhou Airport border inspection port has exceeded one million, setting the fastest record in nearly five years in seven months 19 international routes covering 15 countries, faster clearance, driving continued growth in inbound and outbound travel

Fuzhou, August 3 (Xinhua) — The Fuzhou Airport Border Inspection Station reported that in the first seven months of this year, passenger traffic for entry and exit at Fuzhou Airport Port has exceeded 1 million trips, reaching this milestone 19 days earlier than in 2025, setting a new record for the fastest passage to 1 million in nearly five years and showing a continued strengthening of the port’s opening vitality. Data show that since the beginning of this year, more than 503,000 passengers have departed from Fuzhou Airport. Shorthaul routes to Southeast Asia, South Korea, and other destinations account for more than 70% of the top ten outbound destinations for mainland residents. On the inbound side, more than 102,000 foreign nationals have been inspected and cleared in total, up nearly 15.8% year on year. Convenient policies such as the 240hour visafree transit and 24hour direct transit without a visa have prompted many foreign travelers to choose Fuzhou as a transit point. As the route network becomes denser, Fuzhou Changle International Airport has newly launched international passenger routes to Amsterdam, Manila, and Dili this year, and has also increased the frequency of its Kuala Lumpur route. At present, the airport operates a total of 19 international passenger routes, covering 15 countries and regions. The border inspection authorities said they will continue to optimize customs clearance efficiency and service measures to ensure the highquality development of the port.
