China University of Political Science and Law recently held a symposium on cultivating talent for international organizations in Beijing, and at the same time held an exchange meeting on the tenyear experience of its internship program with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group. The university signed a memorandum of cooperation with the IFC on talent cultivation and internships in 2016. Under the program arrangement, the school selects outstanding students each year to intern at the IFC in Washington, D.C., in the United States for four months. Over the years, participating students have gained practical experience in areas such as international finance, foreignrelated rule of law, and global governance, and some have gone on to work in international organizations, state agencies, and foreignrelated institutions after graduation. All parties attending the meeting exchanged views on the project’s achievements over the past ten years and on experience in cultivating talent for international organizations. The university said it will continue to improve its training system, expand cooperation with international organizations, and provide more students with practical platforms to gain exposure to international rules and participate in global governance.
