Asiana Miles to Be Maintained Separately for 10 Years

Asiana mileage integration plan approved, managed separately for 10 years after the merger Check the conversion ratio and elite member benefits to reduce mileage loss

As the Fair Trade Commission approved Korean Air's integration plan for Asiana Airlines' mileage, Asiana mileage will be managed separately for 10 years even after the merger. The merger is scheduled to take effect on December 17, and Asiana customers can keep their existing mileage as is without a separate application. If converted to Korean Air mileage, a 1:1 ratio will apply for flight mileage, and a 1:0.82 ratio for partner mileage. In addition, elite membership tiers can be reassessed by combining the performance of both companies, and Korean Air must maintain the supply level of award tickets and seat upgrades at or above a certain standard for the next 10 years. The minimum unit for mixed payment will be lowered from 500 miles to 100 miles, and the range for using small amounts of mileage will also be expanded.
