The Shenzhou-23 crew celebrate the two festivals in space, with scientific experiments and health management progressing in an orderly manner
The Shenzhou-23 crew's on-orbit mission continues to advance, with experiments and maintenance aboard the space station steadily underway Holiday does not mean work stops; focus on astronauts' health management and the latest progress of China's space station
During the National Day and MidAutumn Festival holiday period, the Shenzhou 23 crew continued carrying out their mission aboard the China Space Station. The three astronauts, Zhu Yangzhu, Zhang Zhiyuan, and Li Jiaying, have been in orbit for more than four months. While setting up a festive atmosphere, the crew steadily advanced work in space science experiments, space station maintenance, and health management.
In terms of scientific experiments, the astronauts carried out several research tasks as planned, including using the space Raman spectrometer to analyze metabolic components in urine samples, advancing research on microbiota and nutritional metabolism, and conducting brain and humanmachine adaptation experiments under multicrew mission conditions. The crew also installed, maintained, and replaced samples for microgravity physics experimental equipment, and completed related onorbit maintenance of the life and ecological experiment cabinet.
In space station platform care, the crew inspected, maintained, and replaced components of the regenerative life support system equipment, while regularly cleaning the cabin environment. In terms of health management, the astronauts completed a range of medical examinations, including neck ultrasound, bone density, intraocular pressure, and fundus checks, and continued to monitor their onorbit physical condition using the Traditional Chinese Medicine Four Diagnostics instrument.
