According to a July 22 report from China News Service in Lhasa, the 2026 China Industrial Transfer Development Matchmaking Event (Tibet) will be held in Lhasa from July 28 to 30, marking the first time a nationallevel industrial transfer development matchmaking event has been held in Tibet. The press conference introduced that the event is cohosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region, with the theme "Share New Strategic Opportunities and Write a New Chapter in Development Together." The event will focus on Tibet's positioning as an important national strategic resource reserve base and clean energy base, and will concentrate on specialized matchmaking in fields such as clean energy, resource processing, and major projects. The Tibet side stated that the region has advantages in resources and policies for undertaking industrial transfer from the eastern part of the country. Relying on clean energy resources such as hydropower, solar power, and wind power, as well as relevant tax and financial support policies, Tibet hopes to further attract corporate investment and project implementation, and promote regional industrial cooperation and an improved environment for undertaking such transfers.
