The AG600 Kunlong stationed at Gagadachi completed the forest fire prevention mission Routine duty enhances forest firefighting and water rescue capabilities

The domestically developed large amphibious aircraft AG600, nicknamed “Kunlong,” recently completed its 2026 deployment mission in the Gagdaqi Beijiang region, bringing to an end four months of aerial emergency standby and wildfire response operations in the forest area. According to reports, during its deployment, the AG600 carried out 35 forest patrol flights, accumulated about 100 hours of safe flight, and dropped a total of about 390 tons of water, playing a role in forest fire prevention and suppression and participating in practical drills in the virgin forests of the Greater Khingan Range. The AG600 is mainly used for forest firefighting and water rescue, and it is also currently the world’s largest civil amphibious aircraft in terms of takeoff weight. Going forward, this model will be routinely stationed on duty to further enhance the forest area’s fire prevention and firefighting capabilities.
