Large agricultural machinery becomes the star of autumn harvest; Shandong promotes integrated "harvest, plowing, planting, and management"

Shandong has entered the critical period of the “Three Autumns” agricultural production. Autumn harvest, autumn plowing, and autumn sowing are being advanced simultaneously across the province, with large agricultural machinery and smart farming equipment becoming the main force in the fields. Li Kai, a large grain farmer in Chiping, Liaocheng, used a corn combine harvester, straw crusher, and rotary tiller to carry out continuous operations, and, together with integrated water and fertilizer equipment, improved management efficiency and increased the utilization rate of cultivated land. The report shows that Li Kai adopted refined sowing and widenarrow row planting methods on his contracted land to reduce seed usage, and sold waxy corn through an orderbased model, boosting operational efficiency. Even after an earlystage drought, the corn yield remained stable under the guidance of science, technology, and agricultural technicians. In other parts of Shandong, new models such as simultaneous harvesting of corn ears and stalks, and integrated straw yellow storage are also being promoted. As a major agricultural province, Shandong's comprehensive mechanization rate for the tilling, planting, and harvesting of major crops has exceeded 92%. This year, during the “Three Autumns” period, a total of 1.53 million units (sets) of various types of agricultural machinery are expected to be投入.
