On August 5, Henan and other places successively introduced new policies related to paid leave, drawing attention. Henan clearly encourages some organizations to pilot flexible early departure on Friday afternoons, exploring a shorttrip vacation model of "Friday halfday + weekend + annual leave" to promote staggered leave for employees.
Since the beginning of this year, Yunnan, Guizhou, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Anhui, Tianjin, Hainan and other places have also rolled out supporting measures to implement paid leave, including scattered leave, annual leave being included in collective bargaining, and encouraging employees to take their full leave, reflecting that various places are increasing support for the enforcement of the leave system.
The report pointed out that the common goal of these policies is to unleash the consumption potential brought by vacations and ease congestion in holiday tourism as well as idle capacity in the offseason. Experts believe that whether the policies can truly be transformed into vitality in cultural and tourism consumption depends on whether subsequent implementation, supervision, and supporting measures are in place.
