The State Council Work Safety Committee Office deploys unannounced inspections and spot checks on work safety during the May Day holiday
Work safety precautions for the May Day holiday: tighten responsibilities, inspect and eliminate hidden hazards, and safeguard travel and production safety Multiple departments conduct unannounced inspections and spot checks in key sectors, promptly make corrections and expose issues, ensuring a smooth and orderly holiday
The General Office of the State Council’s Work Safety Committee has recently made arrangements for safety production prevention during the May Day holiday, requiring local governments and relevant departments to effectively strengthen safety management during the holiday period, prevent and curb major and especially serious accidents and larger incidents involving risks, and safeguard the safety of people’s lives and property as well as social stability.
According to the plan, departments such as culture and tourism, stateowned assets, fire and rescue, and mine safety supervision will conduct inspections both announced and unannounced, each focusing on key areas such as scenic spots and tourist attractions, popular tourist venues, engineering construction, hazardous chemicals, construction sites, fire prevention in crowded places, coal mines, and noncoal mines. The Ministry of Emergency Management will also carry out comprehensive unannounced inspections in key industries and sectors during the holidays.
Relevant parties said they will strengthen accountability and investigate potential hazards through announced and unannounced inspections. Typical problems found will be dealt with依法 in accordance with the law, with accountability and disciplinary responsibility pursued, and publicly exposed. Localities will also carry out targeted inspections in parallel based on actual conditions to ensure that the holiday safety production situation remains stable and orderly.
