At the sharing session of the 2026 CrossStrait Youth Summit held in Beijing, guests from the film, television, and cultural and creative industries exchanged views on how Chineselanguage content can go overseas and expand its influence. Participants believed that in recent years, crossstrait film and television cooperation has continued to produce highquality works, also creating more opportunities for Chineselanguage content to “go global.” Xu Tiezhong, deputy editorinchief of iQIYI, said that international attention to Chineselanguage works is rising, and changes in the global film and television market are creating new space for Chineselanguage content. He believed that the mainland’s mature film and television industrial system, overseas distribution channels for streaming media, and the international appeal of China’s fine traditional culture are together driving the spread of Chineselanguage content. The article also mentioned that the popularity of film and television IP is driving the development of new business models such as derivative cultural and creative products, immersive experiences, and tourism consumption. Some young people from Taiwan are also seeking entrepreneurial opportunities on the mainland by participating in cultural and creative, digital communication, and other projects.
