Xiamen's signing and cooperation on new Taiwan-related policies promotes the procurement of Taiwanese agricultural products and broadens sales channels in the mainland market Ten policies are being rolled out faster to help young farmers and fishermen, as well as small and medium-sized business operators on both sides of the strait, share new opportunities

On June 13 in Xiamen, a signing and matchmaking conference was held for ten new policies related to Taiwan. Mainland enterprises signed agreements with companies and business associations from multiple parts of Taiwan, involving procurement cooperation for agricultural and fishery products such as pineapple custard apples, pomelos, tea, and others from Taitung, Yunlin, Nantou, and other places. Several Taiwanese business operators at the event said that such cooperation helps broaden sales channels for Taiwan’s agricultural products in the mainland market and also allows more small and mediumsized businesses to see new room for development. A person in charge of the Taiwan Agricultural Joint Logistics and Marketing Cooperative said that after the next season’s pineapple custard apples ripen, the market outlook is worth looking forward to. The report also mentioned that since the release of the ten policy measures to promote crossStrait exchanges and cooperation, related implementation work has made phased progress. Participants said they hope the relevant measures will be implemented soon, so that young people, farmers and fishermen, and small and mediumsized businesses on both sides of the Strait can share future development opportunities.
