A clear spring well bears witness to the Long March memory, and the Dong village red songs carry forward the revolutionary spirit

A "Red Army Well" in Jiasuo Village, Zhongchao Town, Liping County, Guizhou, carries the story of soldiers and civilians working together to repair a well, left behind when the Central Red Army passed through during the Long March. The well water remains clear yearround, and it has become an important red cultural imprint commemorating the history of the Long March. Recently, a summer social practice team from North Sichuan Medical College visited Jiasuo Village and, along the Red Army Well, the former Red Army site, and the Red Army Square, learned about how the Red Army and villagers helped each other repair the well, strictly observed discipline, and cared for the people. The village also shares this history with visitors and young people through mural paintings, displays of old objects, and exhibitions of historical facts about the Yangjiaoyan Campaign. Today, Jiasuo Village has formed a red song team, weaving Long March stories into Dong ethnic songs and original village songs. As more and more young people come for study tours and educational visits, the village's red culture continues to spread in a more vivid way.
