Sichuan Launches the Millennium Shudao Digital Exhibition

On June 13, the "Millennial Shu Roads: A Historical Epic of Mountains and Rivers and the Backbone of Huaxia, Shu Road Digital Exhibition" officially launched in Sichuan. Guided by the Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau and produced by the Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relics Exchange and Information Center, the exhibition combines virtualreal interaction, gamified storytelling, and academic achievements to make it easier for the public to learn about Shu Road culture online. The Shu Roads connect the Central Plains and Bashu, and along the route there are numerous cultural relics such as plank roads, ancient cities, and mountain passes. This digital exhibition takes the Jinniu Road, Micang Road, Lizhi Road, and Yinping Road as its main thread, linking heritage sites such as Mingyue Gorge, the Ancient City of Zhaohua, Jianmen Pass, Cuiyun Corridor, Qiqu Mountain Grand Temple, and Baima Pass, while also adding content on cultural tourism routes, inscriptions, and ancient poems and prose. The exhibition also collected highprecision VR panoramas of Jianmen Pass and Mingyue Gorge, supporting 720degree browsing and VR walking experiences. Visitors can further learn about the heritage sites along the route through text and images, audio, and video. Relevant parties said this project is one of Sichuan's initiatives to promote the digital display of cultural relics and the integration of culture and tourism.
