At the fifth anniversary of the implementation of the Hainan Free Trade Port Law, the Standing Committee of the Hainan Provincial People's Congress said that over the past five years, in response to the needs of Free Trade Port development, Hainan has enacted 57 related regulations, some of which have made flexible arrangements for multiple laws and administrative regulations, gradually forming a number of institutional achievements with Free Trade Port characteristics. From the perspective of legislative priorities, Hainan has mainly continued to improve its institutional design in areas such as trade and investment facilitation, the business environment, leading industries and key industrial parks, risk prevention and control, as well as ecological and environmental protection and livelihood保障. For example, in areas including market access, customs clearance management, foreign investment, the development of the private economy, and the digital economy, relevant regulations have been steadily put into effect. The press conference also mentioned that Hainan has made progress in areas such as port infrastructure, foreign trade and foreign investment, tax policies, ecological environment, and the development of a modern industrial system. The Standing Committee of the Hainan Provincial People's Congress stated that the next step will be to continue promoting the implementation of the Hainan Free Trade Port Law and to explore a more open institutional system with greater international competitiveness.
