The Fujian Science and Technology Special Commissioner team has delivered an answer sheet for revitalizing agriculture

On October 2, Fuzhou, Fujian — A ceremony to release the advanced deeds of the Fujian Province science and technology commissioners group was recently held in Fuzhou. Over the years, this team has gone deep into rural areas, turning scientific research achievements into practical results for increased agricultural income and rural development. The report mentioned that Wu Jingtai, known as the "No. 1 science and technology commissioner," was assigned to Xihou Village, Wangtai Town, Nanping City, in 1998 to provide agricultural technical services. During the day, he went to the fields to help farmers solve planting problems, and at night he taught professional skills in the village, promoting local development of models such as riceflower rotation, driving the expansion of lily cultivation and increasing output value. As of August 2026, Fujian Province had cumulatively selected more than 90,000 individual science and technology commissioners at various levels, nearly 8,500 team science and technology commissioners, and nearly 1,500 corporate science and technology commissioners. More than 10,000 science and technology commissioners were providing regular frontline services. Related projects have driven the promotion of new technologies and new varieties, increased farmers' income, and also promoted the development of agricultural enterprises, cooperatives, and others. The article also introduced the breakthrough achieved by the team led by Su Hailan, a senior agronomist at the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, in the artificial breeding of Paris polyphylla, as well as Lin Zhanxi's efforts to promote the spread of the fungusgrass technology at home and abroad.
