30 Years of Fujian-Ningxia Cooperation: A Shared Development Practice Across Mountains and Seas

Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, June 17 — FujianNingxia cooperation is marking its 30th year. This article reviews the course of the partnership between Fujian and Ningxia, carried out under the continued promotion of Comrade Xi Jinping and General Secretary Xi Jinping, in jointly advancing poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, with a focus on summarizing the experience of this mechanism in industrial development, livelihood improvement, ecological governance, and talent exchange. The article notes that FujianNingxia cooperation began with addressing the water shortage in Xihaigu, relocation and resettlement, and shortcomings in infrastructure, and gradually formed a cooperation mechanism of "joint coordination, paired assistance, industrial drive, mutual learning and mutual support, and social participation," driving Ningxia from poverty alleviation toward comprehensive rural revitalization. A number of projects such as Juncao technology, distinctive breeding and planting, labor cooperation, and education and medical support have continued to take root, boosting income growth for local residents and improving public services. The report also pointed out that as the cooperation enters a new stage of normalization, Fujian and Ningxia are continuing to deepen cooperation in areas such as green energy, digital industries, modern agriculture, and market alignment, striving to turn the experience of eastwest cooperation into a new driving force for coordinated regional development and common prosperity.
