Li Qiang meets with Namibian President Ndatewa
China-Namibia cooperation deepens collaboration across multiple fields, promoting the development of trade, infrastructure, mining, and new energy The two sides will expand cooperation in agriculture, healthcare, education, and multilateral coordination, unlocking more opportunities for cooperation
On the afternoon of July 9, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council met in Beijing with Namibian President Netumbo NandiNdaitwah, who is paying a state visit to China. The two sides exchanged views on ChinaNamibia relations and cooperation in various fields.
Li Qiang said that Namibia is an important partner of China in Africa. The Chinese side is willing to strengthen alignment of development strategies with Namibia, expand trade, and deepen cooperation in infrastructure, mining, oil and gas, and new energy. At the same time, the Chinese side welcomes more highquality Namibian agricultural and fishery products into the Chinese market and supports capable Chinese enterprises in investing in Namibia.
Li Qiang also noted that the two sides can further expand cooperation in tourism, health, education, science and technology, and youth exchanges, and strengthen coordination within multilateral mechanisms such as the United Nations to promote cooperation on multilateralism and global governance. NandiNdaitwah said that Namibia attaches great importance to its relations with China and is willing to continue advancing cooperation in trade, agriculture, infrastructure, transport and logistics, medical and health care, and renewable energy.
