President Lee Jaemyung will preside over a major real estate policy forum on the 23rd. The government plans to hear opinions from the public and experts on key issues such as supply, finance, and taxation, and reflect them in policy. At a briefing on the 10th, Kim Yongbeom, Chief of Staff for Policy at the Blue House, said the government has not predetermined the answer in advance and will broadly gather voices from the field. At the forum, tax reform including property taxes and transaction taxes, the burden of jeonse and monthly rent, loan regulations, and housing acquisition issues are expected to be discussed. Kim said the government is reviewing reasonable improvement measures for the overall tax system. He also said that opinions raised at the forum could be reflected in the tax reform plan to be announced at the end of this month. Ahead of the forum chaired by the president, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Financial Services Commission, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance will each hold forums on supply, finance, and taxation from the 14th to the 16th. Through X, the president asked people to present in advance their opinions on issues such as the relationship between property taxes and transaction taxes, and whether ultrahighend homes should be taxed separately.
