China Science and Technology Museum science popularization activities: nighttime carnival, cutting-edge technology showcase, and international exchanges Watch Science’s One Thousand and One Nights, enjoy a fun garden tour, and "Titanium Degree," and experience the allure of technology
During the National Popular Science Month in 2026, the China Science and Technology Museum, guided by the idea of “science + art + coordination + exchange,” launched a number of public science popularization activities covering frontier technology displays, science and culture communication, and international exchange.
Among the activities, the “Science Night” nighttime science carnival and the “Science One Thousand and One Nights,” jointly held with science museums across the country, together created a nighttime science popularization experience. The Joyful Science Park set up multiple exhibition zones, focusing on the popular science transformation of major scientific facilities, scientific research achievements, mobile science popularization resources, and frontier technology experiences, including robotics, superconducting levitation, and AI interactions.
In addition, the China Science and Technology Museum also used the original stage play Titanium and related special exhibitions to tell stories about scientists’ family traditions and academic values through artistic forms; in a special episode of Beichen Dialogue, discussions were held on topics such as equitable and inclusive science popularization, and empowering the sharing of science popularization resources through digital technology. The World Congress on Promoting Public Scientific Literacy held during National Popular Science Month also showcased the museum’s explorations in future learning centers and the science education ecosystem.
