The spokesperson noted that this plan aligns with the national development blueprint, reflects the overall thinking for Hong Kong’s future development, and also demonstrates foresight and systematic planning. The release of the plan is seen as an important advance in the practice of “one country, two systems,” and has landmark significance for promoting good governance and accelerating Hong Kong’s development.
The spokesperson also mentioned that Hong Kong SAR Chief Executive John Lee Kachiu released a new Policy Address on the same day, which dovetails with the fiveyear plan and serves as the first “construction blueprint” for implementing the plan. As various policies and projects are gradually advanced, the sense of gain, happiness, and security among Hong Kong residents is expected to be further enhanced.
