The outlook from securities firms on major domestic semiconductor stocks such as Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix is mixed. Kiwoom Securities lowered its target price for Samsung Electronics on the 8th from 430,000 won to 390,000 won. Kiwoom Securities said Samsung Electronics' secondquarter results were in line with expectations, but in the second half of the year, the pace of earnings per share growth could slow and share price volatility may increase due to changes in the memory semiconductor industry. However, it maintained its existing investment rating of Buy. For SK Hynix, UBS Group said that U.S.listed American depositary receipts (ADRs) may be more efficient than Korealisted shares, and recommended buying ADRs and selling Korealisted shares. Morgan Stanley was also reported to have recommended reducing holdings in semiconductor stocks such as Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.
