On September 12, the founding conference of the Tibet Seal Society and its first members' representative assembly were held in the academic lecture hall of the Tibet Art Museum in Lhasa. With the approval of the Civil Affairs Department of the Tibet Autonomous Region and the Tibet Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Tibet Seal Society was officially established, and the "Seal Carved on the Snowy Plateau" seal carving exhibition was held at the same time. The report introduced that Chinese seal carving has a long history and was inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2009. The establishment of the Tibet Seal Society is seen as a measure to advance research on seal carving in Tibet, organize and preserve the plateau's seal culture, and promote exchanges and mutual learning among different artistic traditions. During the preparation process, relevant parties sorted out local seal carving resources and the situation of enthusiasts, and received support from institutions such as the Xiling Seal Engravers' Society. The conference reviewed and adopted the society's charter and election rules, and elected the first council. Rong Tie was elected the first president, Liu Yang, Li Zhangping, and Chang Jian were elected vice presidents, and Sun Gongfei was elected secretarygeneral. The seal society said that the next step will be to carry out surveys of the plateau's surviving sealrelated cultural relics, compile relevant literature, hold training seminars, and regularly launch themed exhibitions to promote the development of Tibetan seal studies.
