Urumqi, July 21 — The Urumqi Hightech Zone (Xinshi District) Government Service Center recently introduced a humanoid robot for government services. Working together with a large AI model and a local government services knowledge base, it provides guidance and consultation services for people handling affairs. According to the introduction, the robot supports communication in multiple languages and can help the public find the correct service window and guide them through the selfservice equipment operation process. It can also provide certain business assistance to foreign nationals. On that day, both Chinese and foreign visitors who came to handle matters such as visa extensions and natural gas bill payments experienced this service. The government service center said that the introduction of the robot was intended to adapt to the high daily volume of business in the大厅, improve handling efficiency, and enhance service quality. The center also has Xinjiang's first comprehensive immigration affairs service center, which provides foreign nationals with onestop services covering entry and exit, policy consultations, foreignrelated legal matters, and language and culture.
