More Than a Thousand Experts and Scholars Discuss Key Technologies for Power Equipment in Harbin
The Thermodynamic and Fluid Machinery Conference was held in Harbin, focusing on overall machine performance and flow stability Over a thousand experts discussed 11 major directions, learning about new progress in power equipment innovation and industry-university-research collaboration
On September 12, the 2026 Academic Conference on ThermoAerodynamics and Fluid Machinery of Heat Engines of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics was held in Harbin. More than 1,000 experts and scholars from universities and research institutions across the country participated in exchanges and discussions on 11 topics, including aerodynamic thermodynamics and overall machine performance, turbine flow and design, and compressor flow stability.
The conference was hosted by the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics and organized by Harbin Engineering University. The university said it hoped that this conference would help promote the development of the fields of heatengine aerothermodynamics and fluid machinery, and provide support for greater selfreliance and strength in science and technology.
Experts at the conference pointed out that major equipment such as aircraft engines, heavyduty gas turbines, and deepsea equipment all rely on relevant technical support, and suggested strengthening collaborative innovation among industry, academia, and research by combining new technologies such as artificial intelligence and digital twins. The conference also featured 37 subforums and 89 invited reports, building a platform for exchange in the power equipment sector.
