Assets of high-ranking public officials disclosed, including Go Gwang-heon, Ha Jung-woo, and Hwang Gyo-ik

Go Gwangheon, chair of the Broadcasting Media and Communications Deliberation Commission, reported assets worth 1.98608 billion won under his own name and that of his spouse. Ha Jeongwoo, former senior secretary for AI Future Planning at the Presidential Secretariat, reported 4.39597 billion won, an increase of about 142 million won from the previous amount. According to the 2026 July public officials' periodic asset registration details released on the 24th by the Government Public Officials Ethics Committee, Chairman Go reported assets including an apartment in Mapogu, Seoul, deposits, and liabilities. Former Secretary Ha was found to hold an apartment in Bundanggu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, as well as deposits and securities assets, and the reported amount increased due to changes in asset value. Hwang Gyoik, head of the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, reported assets worth 56.65 million won under the names of himself, his spouse, and other family members. The subjects of this disclosure are 73 senior public officials who had changes in status, such as appointment, promotion, or retirement, between April 2 and May 1 of this year.
