According to a July 15 announcement from the Jilin Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, Zhu Yongzhong, former Party secretary of Jilin Industry Polytechnic College, has been expelled from the Party and dismissed from public office due to serious violations of discipline and law.
The notice said Zhu Yongzhong was accused of losing his ideals and convictions, violating the spirit of the Central EightPoint Regulation, and illegally accepting gifts, cash, and consumer cards; he was also found to have failed to report personal matters as required, to have used his position to seek benefits for others in matters such as project contracting, and to have illegally accepted huge amounts of property, among other issues.
The Jilin Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision said Zhu Yongzhong's conduct constituted serious violations of duty and was suspected of the crime of bribery. The related illicit gains will be confiscated, and the case has also been transferred to the procuratorate for review and prosecution in accordance with the law.
