Huons Group is accelerating efforts to strengthen its manufacturing competitiveness through the integration of production organizations, expansion of factories, and expansion of overseas production bases. Its strategy is to improve efficiency and quality control capabilities by reorganizing the production systems for pharmaceuticals and health functional foods.
In June, Huons absorbed its subsidiary Huons Bio Sciences through a merger, combining its production and quality control functions into one. Through this, it is improving operational efficiency from production to management and sales, while strengthening the stable production foundation that is important in the pharmaceutical and bio industries.
Huons Endo, a health functional food affiliate, completed the expansion of its Chuncheon plant and increased its production capacity. Its alcohol extraction facility has been expanded to an annual capacity of 10,000 tons, and with the addition of a water extraction facility, its overall production capacity has grown to 16,500 tons per year. Based on this, Huons Endo plans to expand its OEM and ODM businesses.
It is also expanding its overseas production base. HuM&C produces medical glass containers in Vietnam, and Huons Meditech has established a local assembly line for endoscope sterilizers in Hyderabad, India. HuMediX received GMP compliance certification for its biopharmaceutical finishedproduct production line, strengthening its contract manufacturing capabilities.
