On the 7th, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the U.S. recent escalation of sanctions against Cuba is opposed by China. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said at a regular press briefing that the unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States on Cuba have harmed the Cuban people’s rights to survival and development, and are also inconsistent with the basic norms of international relations.
