On June 19, 2026, the day of the Dragon Boat Festival, Chinese Ambassador to the United States Xie Feng received American friends including Mr. Saikosi, Ms. Chiou, Ryan, and Angelique at the Chinese Embassy in the U.S. In the exchange, Xie Feng mentioned that he had once seen a video of Saikosi and Chinese woman Yin Yuzhen searching across the ocean for relatives, and said he was deeply moved. He also introduced Ms. Chiou, who had participated in the ChinaU.S. teacher exchange program and taught in Luoyang for 12 years, and who was also present at the event. Xie Feng said that the development of ChinaU.S. relations cannot do without peopletopeople friendship and exchanges, and noted that China’s proposed "5 years, 50,000" initiative had achieved its related goals ahead of schedule, with more and more American youths visiting China. Several American friends also shared their own experiences and feelings about China. At the end of the event, Xie Feng presented Saikosi with a visa and invited him to visit China again.
