On September 11, Premier Li Qiang chaired a State Council executive meeting, which made arrangements and reviewed related draft documents on topics including work safety, computing network construction, renovation of aging reservoirs, building China into a leading country in education, and foundation management.
The meeting emphasized that safety accidents have occurred frequently in some areas recently. Relevant departments should identify hidden risks, strengthen accountability, and enhance supervision and law enforcement, resolutely prevent major and especially serious accidents, and safeguard the safety of the people's lives and property.
The meeting also proposed promoting the rational layout and standardized construction of computing networks, and fostering coordinated development of computing power, electricity for computing, and computing networks; comprehensively advancing the renovation and upgrading of aging reservoirs to strengthen flood prevention and operational safety capabilities; continuing to implement the spirit of the National Education Conference, optimizing the allocation of educational resources and talent cultivation; and strengthening standardized management and information disclosure of foundations to promote the healthy development of public welfare and charitable undertakings.
