On June 2, the Chinese Ministry of Education issued an early warning about the 2026 college entrance examination, reminding candidates and parents not to easily believe that socalled "AI prediction of exam questions" or "expert prediction of exam questions" can help them achieve high scores. The ministry said that the exam questionsetting reform is continuing, with greater emphasis on assessing comprehensive abilities and thinking quality, so relying on predicted questions is not realistic.
The warning also listed typical risks such as cheating in the college entrance examination, taking an exam in someone else's place, bringing prohibited items, blindly believing in predicted questions, and naively trusting claims of early score checks. It also advised candidates to obtain information through official channels to avoid being misled by false publicity.
The Ministry of Education also warned that bringing mobile phones, smartwatches, smart glasses, and similar devices into the exam room may constitute cheating; socalled "hacker score changing" or "inside operations" are also scams. The official urged candidates to take the exam honestly, arrange their study and review time reasonably, and stay alert to fraudulent activities taking advantage of the hype around the college entrance examination.
