National Standard for the Safety and Emergency Public Education Experience Base Released

The State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China) recently approved and released the national standard General Requirements for Safety and Emergency Publicity and Education Experience Bases. This is China's first nationallevel general technical specification aimed at the practical carriers of safety and emergency publicity and education, marking the beginning of a more standardized and systematic stage in the development of public safety education. This standard sets out unified requirements centered on the construction, management, and continuous improvement of experience bases, covering site selection and layout, scenario design, equipment and facilities, personnel training, service standards, and risk prevention and control. It also establishes a dynamic assessment and optimization mechanism, forming a closed loop from construction to management and then to improvement. Relevant departments said that the standard also addresses issues such as unclear positioning of experience bases, duplicate content, and insufficient management and maintenance, and puts forward more practical construction guidance. At the same time, it encourages localities to develop safety and emergency experience programs with more local characteristics, based on their own disaster features and resource conditions.
